Why Lesnar's Reign as Champion wont last long
John Cena may have been victimized at the hands of Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, but come Night of Champions, the lead of The Cenation will again be a victor!
While the beast incarnate, Brock Lesnar, looked untouchable against WWE’s biggest star, there is one thing that is preventing Brock Lesnar from a long run with the title. Brock Lesnar is notorious for not staying in the WWE for very long. Not because he doesn't want to grace The WWE Universe with his dominating presence, but because his schedule with UFC doesn't allow for too much else.
In fact, the last time Lesnar wrestled was at WresteMania 30, when he beat The Undertaker and he didn't even stay long enough for the next Pay Per view. The longest Lesnar has stayed in The WWE after leaving for The NFL and UFC, was his storyline with Triple H back in 2013. Lesnar lost to The Game in a thrilling match at WrestleMania 29 , but was then able to dominate The Cerebral assassin the next month in a cage match at Extreme Rules.
With this being said, I find it funny that anyone thinks Lesnar will be staying champion up until WrestleMania 31, because its jus not logical. Beside the scheduling conflicts, the WWE can not afford to have a part time champion in The WWE for very long. It’s just bad for business.
The fans don't want to see a wrestler that only appears on Raw to cut a promo with his manager, or do a backstage segment with The Authority. The WWE Universe deserve more then that! Lesnar didn't even wrestle the night after he dominated Cena at Summerslam, he just sat there and let Paul Heyman do all the talking. Although the beast incarnate as Champion is a interesting storyline, it just cant last for very long before becoming stale.
With Cena activating his rematch clause for Night of Champions, its a easy guess that there wont be a repeat to Lesnar’s dominant performance at Summerslam. Cena should return stronger then ever and ready to take the fight to the beast incarnate this time around. There should also be a surprise stipulation to make Cena’s win at Night of Champions a bit more believable against Lesnar.
At Night of Champions, Cena will win with a vicious surprise attack on Lesnar towards the end of the match. Cena should then be able to cover Lesnar for the win and become WWE Heavyweight Champion once again. The win will give Lesnar a chance to be written out of the storyline once again, and also a chance for Seth Rollins to cash in on a prone and weakened, John Cena.
With the strap then around Seth Rollins’ waist, John Cena will feud with Rollins for the next few months. The feud with Cena will certainly help to build Rollins as a singles competitor, especially while working with one of WWE’s biggest superstars today.
What happens next is anyone’s guess really, but I have a feeling that Dean Ambrose will eventually make his return after being curb stomped into cinder blocks just last week on Raw and cost his former partner his title. The move will allow for Seth and Ambrose to renew their intense rivalry, while Cena looks for a new opponent towards the Royal Rumble.
So Lesnar fans, enjoy your time at the top while you can. It certainly doesn't look like it will last very long with John Cena and Seth Rollins waiting in the wings for a chance to seize the coveted title.
