Why Paige is managing Asuka and Kairi Sane
Paige is without a doubt one of the WWE's brightest gems that they will continue to treasure following her retirement due to injury. Before she hung up her boots, she introduced the world to Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, otherwise known as Absolution.
Now she's back with a new team - former NXT Women's Champion, Kairi Sane, and former SmackDown Live Women's Champion, Asuka. The reveal of the two as a team made the fans happy to see this alliance form on this week's SmackDown Live.
With the shake-up and the fact that the fans gave Sane a proper send off following her loss to Shayna Baszler, it was evident she would appear on the main roster. However, Asuka before losing her championship to Charlotte Flair just before WrestleMania 35, wasn't featured on television much, as the main build of Flair, Becky Lynch, and Ronda Rousey overshadowed her title run.
So how was the company going to keep the rise of Sane and bring Asuka back to the forefront of the women's division? This is where Paige comes in.
By having her co-sign the newly formed team, it gives them the added push to make sure the two stay visible within not only their division, but in the company as well. When asked what's next for Paige following the formation, she said that we will have to wait and see, but in the meantime, the focus is on Asuka and Sane.
This team will definitely be the next to challenge for the women's tag team titles against the IIconics in the near future. As the two remain nameless in the meantime, Asuka and Sane will be a force that can dominate the women's tag division for the rest of the year.
Do you agree with WWE's decision to pair the two stars as a team? Do you think Paige will continue to play a key role in the team's future success? Have your say in the comments.
