Why team Mahalicia will win the WWE Mixed Match Challenge II
In a shocking turn of events, team Mahalicia and team Fabulous Truth have made it to the finals of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge, which will take place at the TLC pay-per-view. Nobody in the WWE Universe expected these two teams to even reach the semi finals after the way they were booked in the first round of the tournament.
But as they anything can happen in the WWE, we will see a match between Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox versus R Truth and Carmella on a pay-per-view! The key reason behind this shock move could be the match card of TLC.
If we look at the entire match card, Asuka and Charlotte Flair are set to be a part of the SmackDown Women's Championship match, while Bobby Lashley and Natalya will also be participating in their respective matches at the PPV.
So, having two jobber teams compete in the finals was the only option available for the WWE. The winners of the Mixed Match Challenge will be given the coveted #30 spot in the Royal Rumble match, along with a fully paid trip anywhere in the world.
Now looking at the bond between Carmella and R Truth, it makes sense to crown them as the winners of the MMC. But, there are 2 key reasons why they will lose to Mahalicia in the finale. The first being RAW's dominance over SD Live. Remember, Mahalicia will be representing RAW at TLC, while the Fabulous Truth will represent SmackDown.
The creative team wants the fans to look at RAW as the A show, and thus will allot the victory to a RAW team. The second reason being the dance breaks of Carmella and R Truth.
Now, scheduling a dance break after Truth or Carmella enter the Rumble match at #30 would make lesser sense than it would make in the middle of the match. Having a dance break after entering at #10 or maybe #15 would allow a breather for the audience, but a dance break after #30 would devalue the importance of the Rumble match.
