Why we should not believe in Bolieve
You are well aware of the tagline “Bolieve” with which WWE Superstar Bo Dallas is creating some anger amongst his fans. I have used the word anger here to show that people are fed up with his style of appearances at the WWE. Better known as Taylor Michael Rotunda, has recently been elevated to WWE’s Monday night Raw and Saturday night Smackdown. Apart from Bolieve’s recent spat against Jack Swagger, the former WWE NXT champion doesn’t seem to making any impact at the WWE ring.
Not best for business
The Macmohan and co. including his daughter Stephanie and her husband Triple H does only what’s best for business. Their recent decision to bring this young superstar into WWE’s premiere shows like RAW and SMACK DOWN is seriously doing nothing as such for the business. The performance of this 24 years old athlete doesn’t seem to go well with the WWE management. If some news reports within US media are to be believed in the recent past, then it was apparent that WWE authority didn’t like Bolieve.
His charismatic smile may please many of his die-hard fans, but overall if you see his performance in the ring then it is more or less disappointing. When he enters into WWE ring, you see some inspirational banners on the big screen but at his fights he does nothing inspirational at all. Also he tends to cheat as and when possible to win. It is not a good idea for sure.
The Glorious Past
The entry of Bolieve (Bo Dallas) in WWE’s prominent shows is the result of his hard efforts at the WWE NXT ring. Not to be forgoten that the athlete holds world record for staying WWE NXT champion for the longest time. He was assumed to be the next big thing in WWE but apart from his inimitable smile he does nothing spectacular to be liked by his fans and/or WWE authority. At the RAW and SMACKDOWN the fights are very competitive. Bo Dallas has to prove his mettle here at each of his appearances.
Bolieve was one of the finest performers at WWE NXT programme. His spat with Wyatt family (Erick Rowan and Luke Harper) had brought him into a championship clash against the monster Bray Wyatt held last year. Ever since, his attitude has changed. He now believes more in talking big but not challenging the tough challengers. Bolieve might have held the WWE NXT championship belt for the maximum time of 280 days yet he is failing to repeat his performance here at the RAW and SMACKDOWN.
The Wyatt Family
Many WWE fans might be unaware of the fact that Bo Dallas is the youngest brothers in the Wyatt family. His elder brother Windham Rotunda is hugely popular with the nickname Bray Wyatt and is seen taking newer challenges against tough athletes like John Cena, Roman Reigns, Big Show, Chris Jericho and others. At WWE NXT Bolieve was reluctant to join Wyatt family and was forced to swallow defeat at championship clashes of last year due to continous interference by Bray Wyatt. Finally a match was scheduled between Bolieve and and his elder brother Bray Wyatt, that Bolive won amazingly.
As of now there has been no interference in each ohters fights. Dallas had never appeared at the fight involving Bray Wyatt. Similarly Bray was never seen supporting or dampening the chance of Bolieves victory at either of the WWE’s popular shows. It seems for sure that Bray Wyatt is now more happily shares the stage with Eric and Luke rather then Dallas. Both Luke and Eric are highly loyal to their elder brother Bray. Dallas on the other hand seems to be little confused on how to get some some spotlight here.
Amidst huge expectation
Being a new entrant to WWE, there were lots of expectations from him; to be honest he fulfilled none of them. When the whole WWE universe currently dislikes the Bulgarian athlete Alexander Rusev for his open anti-US gimmick and pro- Russian comments, Bolieve on the contrary seemed to be supporting him to win a fight against the Real Americans Swagger fought few weeks ago. This doesn’t go well with the fans of WWE universe. They deserve lots better from him.
Another approach of Bolieve to be seen as invincible or continue to win matches by hook or crook has heavily shocked the fans. Dallas presents himself as an inspirational figure but he does just the reverse at his every clash. If he truly wants to send a good message to his fans then he must stand up and intervene where it matters most and he must win convincingly. My disagreement with him is not only because he uses unfair means to win fights but the way he wants to be seen as inspirational without any basis.
The future ahead
Mere gimmickry will not make Bolieve an instant superstar. It is not very long ago the same Roman Reigns was criticized for his aggressive behavior but this shield member is now viewed as a hero in the WWE universe. The perception has changed only when he has started taking the fights against the injustice. Similarly Dallas should take some inspiration from Reigns and work hard. The forthcoming ‘Night of Champion’ could just be a right opportunity for the athlete. He has finally been alloted a clash against Swagger and if he does well here then could turn the table around him. All the best !
