One of WWE's most famous ring announcers Samantha Irvin left the company recently. Along with fans she may have made a few people from her former workplace unhappy as well.
Samantha Irvin totally transformed ring-announcing trends with her impeccable skills. Her charismatic voice made superstars feel larger than life, especially when she announced the names of Cody Rhodes, Gunther, Chelsea Green, Roman Reigns, and more. Unfortunately, she left the promotion recently, and Lilian Garcia replaced her on WWE RAW.
In the recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported the feedback Titanland had on Irvin's departure. The report stated that while many people in the company respected her decision to leave, some were unhappy because of the social media posts she published after her exit.
Samantha took to social media to state she didn't like announcing and only saw the role as her way into the company. She wanted managerial roles, potentially being a General Manager in WWE. Unfortunately, the company only saw her as a ring announcer.
WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long predicts Samantha Irvin's future after WWE
Samantha's decision shocked her fans as well as several legends of the business. While others may have their own opinion on the situation, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long had some positive comments for her.
Speaking to host Mac Davis and Bill Apter on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine, the legendary General Manager discussed the unexpected exit and expressed his belief that the former WWE ring announcer will reach new heights after her exit from Titanland.
"I think what's gonna really happen for her is she's good at her job, she;s good at what she does, and I think she's moving on to bigger and better things, so congratulations, " said Teddy Long.
It is pleasing to see current Superstars and Hall of Famers wish the best for Samantha Irvin, to say the least. Hopefully, fans will get to see her again on television soon.
