Will AJ Styles go to TNA after WWE Clash at the Castle? Exploring his comments
WWE Clash at the Castle is a huge deal, especially for one AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One is putting everything on the line for a chance to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. He has even agreed to take on the champion, Cody Rhodes, in an "I Quit" match. But, what does the future hold for Styles after this major Premium Live Event in Glasgow, Scotland?
Well, at WWE's Kickoff show for Clash at the Castle, AJ Styles may have given a hint about his future, and it has a lot to do with his alma mater, TNA. Speaking to Michael Cole, Styles was asked about WWE's budding partnership with TNA. Responding to the same, the two-time WWE Champion made his feelings clear, and it's that this partnership is nothing but incredible for the business.
"And for me, it's kind of like, if I would run the show, that's exactly what I would do," said AJ Styles.
With regard to the possibility of Styles returning to TNA, The Phenomenal One actually addressed this in an interview with Cultaholic. He claimed he would be open to returning to TNA should the opportunity present itself.
As of now though, he is focused on Clash at the Castle. He is well aware that he is in an "I Quit" match, but he is not thinking about what will happen should he say those words. Instead, he is convinced that he will leave Scotland as the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
AJ Styles has an incredible record when it comes to "I Quit" matches
At the age of 47, some may say that AJ Styles is on his last legs when it comes to his pro wrestling career. So, with that in mind, there are some concerns when considering he will be participating in an "I Quit" match. Could this really be the match where The Phenomenal One officially says "I Quit", and perhaps retires from the sport? Well, the record books say something different.
In his career, Styles has taken part in three "I Quit" matches, and in each and every one of them, he has come out victorious. So, with a record of 3-0, it's safe to say that the odds are in his favor. That said, his opponent, Cody Rhodes made it clear that although this is his first "I Quit" match, he is confident that he can get down and dirty with the veteran and emerge victorious.
The match between Styles and Rhodes is sure to be an entertaining one. It will be interesting to see who will come out on top. Either way, one of these men will have to say "I Quit."
