From the WWE Rumor Mill: Wolfgang pulled from indie show for 'WWE commitments'

What could the WWE have in store for this UK star?
What could the WWE have in store for the UK star Wolfgang (right)?

What's the story?

Wolfgang has been one of the more regular WWE UK Superstars, with the British wrestler making the odd sporadic appearance in NXT following his participation in the WWE UK Tournament that Tyler Bate won. However, it seems he's about to be used again as he's been pulled from a Pro Wrestling Elite indie show on 17 March.

In case you didn't know...

Wolfgang's last known television appearance was in a losing effort to Pete Dunne in a WWE UK Title match on the 13 September 2017 episode of NXT. After the match, Wolfgang was attacked by Undisputed Era but was rescued by Trent Seven and Tyler Bate.

The heart of the matter

As you can see Pro Wrestling Elite have stated that Wolfgang was pulled for WWE commitments which means we could be seeing him in NXT again soon enough, especially as there are more tapings for the yellow brand due on 7 March.

Although that is a whole ten days before this independent date, so the real reason could also be something to do with WWE's March PPV, Fastlane, which is on 11 March.

Alternatively, the WWE could have something else planned for Wolfgang; perhaps they're close to getting that much anticipated UK show off of the ground and want to make sure all of their UK talents are available.

What's next?

This same thing happened to Pete Dunne over Royal Rumble weekend, sparking rumours he might appear in the Rumble match. However, Dunne only featured on some of the NXT tapings that took place afterwards so it's likely the same thing is happening for Wolfgang.

Author's take

I have all of my fingers crossed that this is an early speculative sign that WWE are preparing for their UK show and that we're finally going to see it happen this year.
