WrestleMania X8 was presented by Sour Skittles and took place on 17 March 2002, at the SkyDome in Toronto, Ontario and registered a record-breaking attendance for the SkyDome of 68,237 grossed approximately $6.1 million CAD ($3.9 million USD).

This was the last WrestleMania event that was produced under the WWF banner. The company changed its brand name as WWE in 2002 and so this event marks a landmark change in the company's operations.

With a star-studded match card containing 12 matches, the WWF team successfully managed to achieve great success with the show. This was also the first time Y2J made an appearance in the main event of WrestleMania.

Kurt Angle vs Kane

The demon goes down

The resilient Angle and the sadistic Kane took on each other at WrestleMania 18. This was a typical singles match with no special stipulations but the wrestlers made it special. Angle tried for an initial pinfall after a flying clothesline but couldn't get the 3 count. The momentum later exchanges hands and Kane broke the Angle Lock.

During the finishing moments of the match, Angle delivered a belly-to-belly suplex on Kane and the Big Red Machine made a futile attempt for a chokeslam and Angle successfully rolled him up for the win taking the support from the ropes. This match lasted for just above 10 minutes.
