WWE WrestleMania 32: Avenged Sevenfold and Motorhead tracks as themes
Heavy metal music seems to be the most fitting for the wrestling sport. This year, few weeks prior to WrestleMania 32, WWE announced the theme songs to be featured at this year’s event. Avenged Sevenfold and Motorhead will represent the metal and rock side with “Hail to the King” and “Sympathy for the Devil” respectively.
WrestleMania 32 will be held on April 3rd at the home of NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, the AT&T Stadium in Arlington,
Avenged Sevenfold’s title track of their most recent album is “Hail to the King”. The lyrics of this song depicts graphic violence from royals of medieval eras, bloodshed and bodies strung up on display, symbolizing both warning and display of power. It can’t be more fitting for a WWE World Champion.
Rolling Stone’s classic “Sympathy for the Devil” comes off Bad Magic – which is the 22nd and last album of the legendary group, Motorhead. WWE and Motorhead are tied since 2002 when composer Jim Johnson wrote “The Game” to be used as Triple H’s entrance theme and Motorhead recorded it for their Hammered album.
Avenged Sevenfold are already working on their next album while Motorhead’s next is doubtful after the death of their frontman Lemmy in late December 2015.
