WWE WrestleMania 33 News: Nikki Bella cleared to compete despite neck injury

Could this indicate that Nikki’s match at WrestleMania 33 will be her last?

Nikki Bella posted an update on her neck injury today informing the fans that she was cleared to compete at WrestleMania 33.

She told fans that while she suffered slight herniation above where she had neck surgery last year, she was cleared to compete in her mixed tag team match with John Cena against The Miz and Maryse.

The following is the video she posted yesterday, informing fans of the possibility of her not competing.

Nikki’s initial injury was suffered during her reign as the Divas Champion in 2015. She said that she was experiencing pain in July 2015, but it didn’t become problematic until October 2015. Once she got an MRI, she was forced to stop competing and undergo surgery to repair her herniated disk.

After she recovered from surgery, she retired her former finisher, the Rack Attack, and would continue to compete SummerSlam 2016 to the present. Many rumours have claimed that Nikki’s match at WrestleMania 33 will probably be her last and this news all but confirms that.

Though she will be able to compete at WrestleMania, the fact remains that she is still suffering from neck problems despite not using a finisher that put extra pressure on her neck and training with Daniel Bryan prior to her return.

Cena is also rumoured to be proposing to Nikki after their match, so retiring after a 10-year career, a championship reign for the history books, and a future wedding would be a great way to ride off into the sunset.
