WrestleMania 34: Top 5 matches from the Show of Shows
The most exciting weekend for wrestling fans all over the world has just gone by with WrestleMania 34 ending on a high note. WrestleMania featured some great wrestling matches from top to bottom along with some great surprises. In an attempt to follow arguably the best NXT TakeOver event in history, the pressure was on WrestleMania 34 to deliver.
Which 5 matches from this year's extravaganza were able to grasp the crowd's attention the most? Let's take a look.
#5 Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali
Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali wanted to represent their division with a performance worth praising and give the crowd a new Cruiserweight Champion worth admiring. The match told a fantastic story as both men took their respective roles as the heart and soul of 205 Live. Alexander took control early on, and Ali managed to fight him off over and over again, pulling out some phenomenal reversals including a Spanish Fly from the top rope.
No matter what Ali could muster up, Alexander was able to turn it around time after time. He stopped Ali in his tracks and both men clearly became more agitated as the match went on.
In the end, Alexander nailed Ali with two reverse elbows before reluctantly hitting a third. Alexander then lifted Ali into the air and executed the Lumbar Check to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
