WrestleMania 35 Predictions: 5 unexpected champions we may get at the show
WrestleMania 35 is just a couple of days away from us as WWE will deliver the 35th edition of The Showcase of Immortals live from the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
A total of 9 championship matches are scheduled for the show with all the titles on RAW, SmackDown, and 205 Live on the line at the grandest stage of them all.
As WrestleMania is coming closer, fans and analysts are predicting which challengers would walk out of WrestleMania with the title around their waists. While a lot of matches have favorites to win due to some reason or the other, there are some superstars that no one is expecting to see become champions at 'Mania.
In this article, let's take a look at the 5 unexpected champions that we may get at WrestleMania 35. Do share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
#5 John Cena - United States Champion
John Cena's current plan for this year at WrestleMania 35 is not yet clear. Kurt Angle did spill the beans that Cena will be there, but at the same time, he didn't tell anything about what actually he will be doing at the show.
Now there are rumors that he'll just be in a segment, most probably interrupting Elias' musical performance, but what if he actually has a match?
The news is that Rey Mysterio got injured and might not be a part of WrestleMania. He is scheduled to challenge Samoa Joe for the United States Championship at WM. In case he is not fit, WWE will have to look for an alternative opponent. And who better than the man that fans have been wanting to see go up against Joe for a long time?
In what will be a dream match for many, John Cena could replace Mysterio and challenge Samoa Joe for the United States Championship. If that happens, there is a good chance that Cena might walk out of WrestleMania as a 3-time WWE United States Champion.
Though I'd personally prefer him to give a rub to Joe and put him over if he does actually replace Mysterio in the match.
