What's the story?
Tonight, Kurt Angle says farewell to the WWE Universe in his Retirement Match when the Olympic Gold Medallist faces off against Baron Corbin - a match that was met with much controversy and dismay upon its announcement.
Well, it looks like the WWE Universe may very well get their wish - as John Cena is rumored to be added to the match in news emerging from the MetLife Stadium. Cena's role may very well be that of a special guest referee.

Kurt Angle will wrestle his last ever match in WWE tonight at WrestleMania 35 when he faces off against Baron Corbin. The announcement of Angle's opponent for his retirement match was met with much controversy, with many claiming that John Cena would have been the ideal opponent with Kurt Angle being Cena's first ever match.
While Cena's role for Mania has not yet been revealed, in an interview with Gorilla Position of the UK, it seems that Kurt Angle let slip John Cena's WrestleMania status when speaking about how he wanted to face off against the 16-time World Champion for his retirement match to bring the story full circle.
I love John and I know that he will have a WrestleMania match. I’m not sure if they’ve announced it yet, but I’m almost positive he’s gonna be there.

PWInsider.com are reporting that the current plan is for John Cena to be added to Kurt Angle's retirement match against Baron Corbin, most likely in the role of special guest referee.

The Wrestlemania 35 Kick-Off show is currently underway - emanating from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
As of now, Kurt Angle will face off against Baron Corbin, and it looks like we'll be seeing Cena in the match too!
