WrestleMania 35: SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match results, video highlights and analysis
The Usos helping Kofi Kingston get his WWE Championship match against Daniel Bryan resulted in the Samoan Duo defending their titles against three other teams at WrestleMania in MetLife Stadium.
Though Jimmy & Jey Uso are the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Raw tag team Aleister Black & Ricochet will also be competing against Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura and The Bar.
Following the swift Universal Championship match between Brock Lensar and Seth Rollins as well as the encounter between AJ Styles and Randy Orton, the SmackDown Tag Team Championships were defended in the third match on the WrestleMania card.
The Usos were the first to make their entrance, followed by The Bar, Nakamura & Rusev and the team of Black and Ricochet.
Black & Jey Uso started the match off with some headlocks, until Sheamus dropped the top rope to make the champion fall out the ring, and was followed up by Rusev and Nakamura making quick tags and dominating Black.
Nakamura was thrown outside the ring by Black and attempted a dive, but Jimmy caught him with a pop-up Samoan Drop.
Eventually, Ricochet made the blind tag and got the advantage on Cesaro, until the Swiss Superman hit him with a massive uppercut while Sheamus hit the 10 Beats of the Baldrum on everyone in sight while Cesaro was swinging Ricochet and followed up with a Sharpshooter.
Jimmy broke up the pinfall, but Black & Rusev would brawl in the ring for a while until Nakamura made the save.
Rusev & Nakamura hit some nonstop attacks on Black, but Ricochet broke up a pinfall with a shooting star press and eventually getting tagged into the match.
The Bar regain control, leading to a big tower of doom spot to avoid the impact of the fall while all the other wrestlers were laid out in the ring. Ricochet landed the 630 Splash on Sheamus, but the other tag team wrestlers broke up the nearfall.
The wrestlers would all trade finishers with Sheamus standing tall and getting hit with Superkicks by The Usos and finished the match with their double Uso Splash.
Results: The Usos pin Sheamus to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
