Wrestlers I would like to see in the Royal Rumble this year
30 superstars are going to face one another to win a title shot at the grandest stage of them all. But that isn’t the only thing that makes Royal Rumble interesting. Over the years, we have seen several surprising entries in Royal Rumble and here’s a list of superstars I would like to see as a surprise entry in this year’s Royal Rumble.
Chris Jericho
Frankly, I have missed this guy a lot and I guess most of you might have too. I’d love to see Chris Jericho make a comeback this year into the Rumble. Though there isn’t any news surrounding this, his entry into the ring will be a huge surprise for several Jericho fans. Jericho, at present, is in a position where he can enter the ring anytime he wants and his popularity is one reason that has allowed WWE to accept this. Hopefully, we get to see him in the ring.
New Age Outlaws
We saw Road Dogg enter the Rumble last year which pumped us quite a lot. Wouldn’t it be fun if we could see both Road Dogg and Billy Gunn make it into the draw? Though it doesn’t seem to be a possibility, seeing Billy Gunn alone can make things interesting.
John Bradshaw Layfield
Yes, I agree he’s a commentator, so what? JBL, I guess, still has what it takes to win a Royal Rumble, let alone participating in it. I will be more than glad to see him make it as one of the entrants.
Mark Henry
Hall of Famers aren’t the only way to surprise people. Injured wrestlers have also contributed a fair share with regard to surprises in the Rumble. Mark Henry returning would, no doubt, be a surprise for all.
Goldberg
Now, wouldn’t that be a surprise! There have been several speculations of Goldberg returning to the ring for another stint and what better way then making him a Royal Rumble entrant. His winning the Rumble, however, seems out of question.
Christian
Christian’s been out of the proceedings for a long time due to injury and there isn’t any news about his recovery. Maybe, the WWE is keeping it a secret to surprise everyone by letting him enter. Another possible candidate could be the high flying Evan Bourne.
In addition to these, we can also expect legends such as Vader, Sgt Slaughter, Rikishi, Edge etc. which could make the draw all the more interesting. Though only one or two slots will be provided for these surprise entrants, let’s hope WWE choses them wisely.
