Wrestling event at Mets Citi Field revealed, Jake Roberts premiere change, Taz looks at WWE Fastlane

Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts

- As noted earlier, The Resurrection of Jake the Snake documentary, which follows WWE Hall of Famer Jake "The Snake" Roberts as he attempts to reclaim his life and repair his public image, will be premiering in Los Angeles. A sneak preview will be hosted by the Slamdance Film Festival and the Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood, California on March 8th, 2015 at 8pm. The 93-minute documentary will be followed by a Q & A session with the filmmakers and cast members. Tickets for the premiere actually sold out less than a day after they went on sale, so the premiere has been moved to a larger theater. Tickets will likely sell out fast, so get them while they can <by clicking here.

You can check out a trailer for the film below, but please note that it contains strong language. You can also check out my review of the film <at this link.

- The latest episode of the Human Podcast Machine with Taz podcast features Taz looking at last night's WWE Fast Lane pay-per-view. You can download it Play.It or iTunes.

- We noted over the weekend that the official Twitter account for Citi Field in Flushing, NY stated that wrestling would be returning to the stadium this year, and that it's not for SummerSlam. The stadium will be hosting a Legends of Wrestling event on Sunday, June 7th from 3pm-7pm. The event will feature over 30 professional wrestlers including Ric Flair, Bret Hart and Bill Goldberg. It will consist of festival entertainment along the field level concourse and will feature photo opportunities and autograph sessions in a ring set up at second base.

The pre-sale starts tomorrow at 10am and concludes this Thursday at 11:59pm. Up to eight tickets can be purchased for the event and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The pre-sale code is WRESTLING.
