WWE/GFW News: Alberto El Patron and Paige receive letter for their help during Hurricane Harvey
What's the story?
Alberto Del Rio and Paige have taken on the initiative of helping those victims who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. The Sun reports that they put aside their own problems to lend a helping hand, and now they are receiving the gratitude that they deserve for it.
In case you didn't know....
Alberto Del Rio, or Alberto El Patron as he is known as in the indies, and his fiancee, Paige have recently had more than their share of headlines, and hardly ever for positive reasons. The two have been the centre of controversy after controversy ever since Alberto was released by WWE, and the news of their relationship came out. Since then they have had several very public problems, with the law, and their own personal lives. El Patron was stripped of the GFW Title just a few weeks back.
This incident is a heartening positive for the two.
The heart of the matter
Hurricane Harvey affected a lot of people who were ravaged by the flooding and in some cases, rendered homeless. El Patron and Paige both stepped up earlier to help make their lives just that bit easier.
They helped them pay hotel bills and take refuge away from the horror of the hurricane. They are now receiving a lot of gratitude for the help that they provided, as an aged couple, both 82 years of age sent them a letter thanking them for their help.
The letter talked about how the couple was immensely grateful, and that they are hoping to return to their home in Rockport on Saturday.
What's next?
The victims of Hurricane Harvey are still recovering. The help that Paige and El Patron provided will be definitely appreciated, as it saved a lot of them an immense amount of trouble.
Author's take
It is a really nice change to see El Patron and Paige do something positive. They have both been mired in controversy, be it infamous Paige leaks, their very public personal problems, Del Rio's rants at WWE, or anything else. Hopefully, this will help people to see them in a different light, as they have at least a few people whose lives they affected positively.
