WWE: 13/01/14 RAW Preview
With just a couple of weeks to go for the Royal Rumble, RAW rolls out of the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, and what a show it promises to be! Last week saw Roman Reigns getting the better of the Straight Edge superstar, CM Punk. Also, Daniel Bryan joined the Wyatt Family, but their first night on RAW wasn’t as effective, as the trio lost in a tag match. And who can forget the ending of last week’s episode? Jake “The Snake” Roberts finally returned to the WWE, and ended the show by placing his snake Damien on Dean Ambrose! After such an eventful episode, what does WWE have in store for the fans this week? Let us take a look at what can happen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
Ryback no more?
The biggest development in the past few hours has been Ryback’s activity on Twitter. For those who aren’t aware, Ryback worked stiff with Ziggler, which resulted in Ziggler suffering yet another concussion. Ziggler will not be competing again anytime soon, as he has to be medically cleared after going through several procedures, but this resulted in Ryback having more backstage heat. Ryback didn’t do himself any favours when he went online and made some tongue in cheek remarks regarding the WWE and some of the superstars. Last night, Ryback sent a tweet saying that he was released from the WWE, but quickly deleted the tweet. If Ryback has indeed been released from the WWE, it won’t surprise a lot of people, as he has a reputation of working stiff with the superstars, and being too open on social media.
Can Randy Orton get The Authority on his side?
Last week, Randy Orton urged The Authority to cancel his match against John Cena at the Royal Rumble for the WWE World Heavyweight championship. Ever since Stephanie McMahon made the match at the Rumble, Orton has been pleading his case, and in a couple of weeks’ time, he will defend the WWE World Heavyweight championship against John Cena. But will he be successful in getting The Authority on his side? If we remember the TLC PPV, it looked as if The Authority had a hand in Orton’ victory. Will history repeat itself come Royal Rumble? We’ll get some of our answers on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
Tensions brew between the trifecta
The Shield has been the most dominating faction the WWE Universe has witnessed in quite a long time. Just like The Four Horsemen and the likes of NWO, The Shield has been successful for the better part of a year to take on all comers and send them retreating. In recent weeks however, tensions have started brewing between the trio, as the argument of one being better than the other two has created a void between the members of The Shield. With Roman Reigns beating CM Punk last week, the WWE Universe will be of the opinion that Reigns is better than Rollins and Ambrose. What will happen this week between the three members of the faction? We’ll have to wait and find out!
