WWE 205 Live Results (09/19/17): Enzo Amore and Neville face off
Last night, WWE's Cruiserweight-exclusive show prepared for a showcase between its two biggest stars at this Sunday's No Mercy. The Cruiserweight Championship match will be contested between Neville and Enzo Amore — a relative newcomer to the division who has earned a shot at the title in just a matter of weeks.
The only segment that was advertised on Raw the night before was a face to face showdown between the competitors in Sunday's match. Also on the card were contests between Brian Kendrick and Cedric Alexander as well as one between Akira Tozawa and Noam Dar. Rich Swann was also supposed to battle Lince Dorado, but due to an array of shenanigans that match never happened.
This episode began with a video recap of the rivalry between Neville and Enzo Amore, who was destroyed by Braun Strowman on Raw.
#1 Brian Kendrick vs. Cedric Alexander
This was a rematch from last week when Jack Gallagher turned heel on Cedric Alexander to align with Brian Kendrick. Alexander had early momentum and connected with an aggressive topé suicida. Kendrick then gained control when the action returned to the ring, slowing the pace down. A springboard clothesline gave Alexander a close near fall, but it was a very slick rollup counter of a Sliced Bread attempt that won him this contest.

After the match, Kendrick argued with the man who was victorious for the purpose of distracting him. Jack Gallagher came down the ramp and jumped Cedric from behind. The Gentleman repeatedly struck Alexander while Brian held him, ultimately laying him out with a headbutt.
Next, Drew Gulak was shown backstage in his political campaign garb. Nigel McGuinness stated that he was coming to join both he and Vic Joseph on commentary.
Back from the break, Jack Gallagher talked to Dasha Fuentes about having stitches in his head during his recent wedding day. He said that he could stomach going through life with a scar, just not as a joke.
