WWE 2K15 learns a few lessons from NBA
Something that all WWE games were in dire need of were better graphics. For all previous editions, the WWE star you chose to play as, hardly bore any resemblance to the real thing. But in 2K15 WWE has learned a few lessons from the NBA.
NBA 2K, another game from the 2K franchise, uses advanced head-scanning technology that makes the athletes look as close to the real thing. WWE 2K15 has now decided to use the same technology to come up with life-like graphics.
At the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 Expo) from June 10-12 this year at Los Angeles, WWE provided a sneak peek of its new 2K15 edition. Other than facial screening technology, 2K15 will also use improved lighting techniques. According to Chris Snyder, senior marketing director at 2K Sports, improved lighting will help depict a more live atmosphere at the ring. "With WWE superstars like Daniel Bryan you can see how the lighting effects bring a completely different look to the character model's skin texture and beard," said Snyder.
At the LA Expo 2K Sports also revealed the first look of WWE stars like John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Roman Reigns, Antonio Cesaro and Bray Wyatt. But WWE fans might be a bit worried about CM Punk's place. The three-time World Heavyweight Champion had abruptly left WWE on January 27, 2014, and there were doubts over his inclusion in the new game.
But WWE 2K15 Executive Producer, Mark Little has hinted at Punk being a part of the new game, by refusing to focus too much on the current WWE roster.
The game will be launched on the 28th of October in North America and on the 31st of the same month in Europe for PS3, Xbox360, PS4 and Xbox One.
