WWE 2K17 latest pictures are out now

The “Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar

With Summerslam just two weeks away from this sunday, the excitement for the biggest event of the summer has hit the pitch. Coupled with that, is the release of the latest screenshots of WWE 2K17 game.

WWE 2K17 will be out in October, and fans are already excited to see the game. Even though the game has had its issues over the years, it is still one of the most anticipated games every year as it represents the largest wrestling organization on the planet.

Every year, rumors of which Superstars were added and/or removed from the roster is an important point of discussion. Often some superstars are not in the game, but others wrestlers who have been released since the last game may still be used.

On Tuesday, we not only got a glimpse of the first official screenshots from the game, but the next selection of Superstars was also revealed.

The female roster has also been revamped

Like last year, IGN has taken up the mantle of revealing the roster for the game. IGN.com was able to confirm a few names. Every single Tuesday until the entire roster is revealed, IGN will put out pictures and release a list of names along with it. This year they have planned to tease the fans by putting out a picture for fans to look over at 6 a.m. Pacific time every Tuesday.

It’ll be jumbled up, and fans will have to look at the picture and find the clues hidden in the image. Three hours later, IGN claims they will put out a normal list.

The first picture was that of a run down amusement park that IGN dubbed as a neighborhood in Suplex City. This image has subtle clues to the superstars that have been included in the roster. Take a good look at it before scrolling down to see the answers.

A dingy neighbourhood in Suplex City

Here is the list of the “residents of suplex city” as release by IGN

  1. Brian Pillman
  2. The Bella Twins
  3. Aiden English
  4. Apollo Crews
  5. Booker T
  6. Chris Jericho
  7. Brock Lesnar
  8. John Cena
  9. Jey Uso
  10. Jimmy Uso
  11. Erick Rowan
  12. Fernando and Diego
  13. Heath Slater
  14. Jim Niedhart
  15. Larry Zybysko
  16. Nia Jax
  17. Konnor and Viktor
  18. Paul Heyman
  19. R-Truth
  20. Sasha Banks
  21. Shinsuke Nakamura
  22. Simon Gotch
  23. The Ultimate Warrior

With several weeks to go before the release of the game, the roster is expected to swell over 100.

The point to take away from this initial roster is that they focused on the female wrestlers just as much as their male counterparts. A major issue last year was that the Four Horsewomen were not in the game at all for 2K16 despite the fact that three were champions or former champions before the game ever came out.

The new faces most fans are looking forward to seeing and hoping are part of the game are AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson. Of course, we also hope to see a couple new popular WWE NXT faces in the game too, such as Austin Aries.
