Backstage news on Rey Mysterio's future, Sheamus and Becky homecoming, Seth Rollins
- The Wrestling Observer has revealed more details on the upcoming next season of Lucha Underground, including the news that Rey Mysterio is expected to sign with Lucha Underground soon.
Per the report, the plan is to use Mysterio as the promotion’s top star in season two. Both sides have been reportedly quiet on this front. Mysterio has not yet officially signed with the promotion, and it’s believed Lucha Underground is saving the announcement as a surprise for the show. This comes as a huge setback for the WWE fans who were expecting the much loved Luchador to come back into the WWE’s fold, but that wouldn't happen it seems.
Lucha Underground is the best place for Mysterio considering the Lucha infused style of wrestling and the push he would get as he is a bonafide and established name in the industry add to that the quality of wrestling they put out every week.
In related news, it’s expected that former WWE Tough Enough contestants Matt Casaus will be getting a bigger push on season two of Lucha Underground, and after working dark matches last year former Olympian Jeff Cobb is expected to debut with the promotion. For the new season, Vampiro is reportedly being moved away from the announce team and will become the manager of Pentagon Jr.
- WWE World Heayweight Champion Seth Rollins granted a Make-A-Wish Wish before last Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown tapings in Corpus Christi. Here he is with 12-year-old Keenan:
