WWE Battleground: Updated card; Cena to defend title in Fatal 4-way, Intercontinental championship vacant
After wrapping up the Money In The Bank pay-per-view just two days ago, WWE is all set for its upcoming, Battleground PPV, scheduled to take place on July 20, 2014 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida.
The new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena will defend his title at the PPV in a Fatal 4 Way match that involves Kane, Randy Orton and Roman Reigns.
Also confirmed for the PPV is a Battle Royal for the WWE Intercontinental Title that has been left vacant following Bad News Barrett’s injury. The names confirmed for the match include Damien Sandow, Cesaro, Kofi Kingston and The Great Khali, who made a comeback on yesterday’s episode of Raw,
The returning Chris Jericho is also confirmed for the event and is expected to form a new found rivalry with his opponent Bray Wyatt in the following weeks.
