WWE Battleground 2014: Why Ambrose should win against Seth Rollins
I have written this many times but I’ll write it again - Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose have the best storyline leading up to Battleground and this might be the beginning of a great rivalry. But what if they don’t have a match in the next Pay Per View? What if they don’t fight with the Money In The Bank Contract on the line? What if whoever wins on Sunday moves on from this feud into something new or bigger? Chances are if that happens that Ambrose is going to be the one with the win. But maybe, just maybe, won’t be the last man standing.
Redemption
When Ambrose faces Rollins on Sunday, this will be the first singles match they get to compete against each other on the main roster. A match which might have important consequences and a match that is important and follows one of the main storylines featured in the WWE right now. This is the opportunity for Ambrose to teach Rollins a lesson, or rather lessons. This might be the moment where Ambrose gets his revenge, gets some closure and moves on to something more competitive or something new and to equally exciting horizons in the WWE. But to have Ambrose win and then have him aiming for the Money In The Bank Contract later on does not seem like the right move forward. Why? Because Rollins has it won and having Ambrose win it will only negate Rollins’ credibility and also if Ambrose does not win then that means Rollins got the better of Ambrose again and that negates Ambrose’s credibility.
The Best Way To Carry On
The best way to carry this rivalry over is to have Ambrose get ambushed by the Authority which makes Ambrose move on to other members of the Authority and still not let Rollins cash in his contract. How does that affect matters? Here’s how- The fact is the whenever the 28 year old decides to cash in, his former teammate will always be on his trail to prevent him from getting his moment in the sun. Now, if the Authority decided to attack Ambrose after the match then the man from Cincinnati, Ohio will have his anger directed to the said person from the Authority which at this moment seems likely to be Orton or Kane. That will mean that when Ambrose tries to prevent Rollins from cashing in Orton or Kane can be the road blocks to Ambrose’s crashing plan. That gives Rollins the perfect opportunity to cash in and win and that gives Ambrose an unfinished business.
Rollins Vs Ambrose for the titles
There are many scenarios in my head but if Rollins wins the Championship then Ambrose seems to be the one with the best contention to fight for the titles. Of Course, WWE might have those plans for Reigns so that Reigns gets to avenge his betrayal by Rollins. That’s the clash that WWE has in mind. Ambrose’s side of the story is also interesting. That gives all three Shield members to be a part of the main storyline and that gives the opportunity for all three of them to get the final Shield moment albeit as individuals, a moment which sets them apart from what they used to be together. That will be symbolic in the way to show that they have now fully embraced their solo careers and being on their own.
