WWE has big plans in store for Batista's return
With his return to WWE, Batista has been packing on a lot of muscle lately. The plan for Batista reportedly is for him to make a surprise return at the Royal Rumble. Batista could very well win the Rumble and challenge Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania!
The deal was brokered by Triple H and even though he isn’t getting as sweet a deal as Brock Lesnar, he is getting a very lucrative offer that include appearances at PPV’s, RAW and SmackDown tapings as well as WWE live events. This is said to be a ‘close to full time’ short-term plan that will keep him part of WWE storylines beyond WrestleMania XXX.
‘The Animal’, as Batista is frequently called, is a six-time world champion, having won the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the WWE Championship two times. Batista also holds claim to the title of being the longest-reigning World Heavyweight Champion of all time, and is well-known for having headlined WrestleMania 21, which is among the top 5 highest grossing PPV events in WWE history.
Batista left the WWE for Mixed Martial Arts in 2012, and has also dabbled in Hollywood movies during his time away from WWE.
With such an impressive list of accomplishments to his name, it stands to reason that Batista’s return will hold a place of pride in WWE’s plans for the coming few months.
