WWE: Cesaro suffers eye injury on Raw, may be pulled out of Main Event tapings
WWE superstar Antonio Cesaro, has reportedly suffered an eye injury during his match against Kofi Kingston. According to WWE.com the injury occurred when Kofi Kingston unintentionally poked Cesaro’s eye during yesterday’s episode of Raw.
Cesaro will have to wear an eye patch for a couple of days, but his condition will be re-examined before his scheduled match against Dolph Ziggler on WWE Main Event tonight. This situation surely jeopardizes the planned match for the TV tapings.
WWE Physician Dr. Chris Amann stated the following with regards to Cesaro’s injury:
"We did some specialized testing and staining of the eye which showed he did have a scratch on the right side of the eye, which is called the sclera and not on the cornea, which is the clear part of the eye. We're going to keep his eye patched for the next 24-48 hours, use some artificial tears and re-evaluate him tomorrow prior to his match."
