WWE changes Austin's podcast, no heat on Samoa Joe, Saxton replacing Booker T?
- According to the Wrestling Observer one of the agreements made between Steve Austin and WWE when bringing back his podcast to the Network, was that he moves away from the “insider” details and focusses more on entertaining conversations.
Other than the Brock Lesnar and WrestleMania 32 segment, Austin’s podcast with Paul Heyman was very much toned down from his hard-hitting and controversial discussions with Vince McMahon and Triple H. The WWE Hall of Famer has signed on for another 11 episodes with guests including Undertaker and Sting.
- There isn’t said to be any backstage heat on Samoa Joe following the injury of Tyson Kidd. It occurred in a dark match when Joe hit the Muscle Buster, but the consensus was that the injury was just a fluke and not anything that went wrong with the move. Steve Austin and Edge have reached out to give Kidd support, as their own careers were shortened due to neck injuries.
- Byron Saxton is likely to continue with his commentary role on RAW while Booker T films Tough Enough.
