Chris Jericho and The Miz return to WWE Monday Night Raw
On the fallout episode of Money In The Bank PPV, Monday Night Raw on June 30th surpassed all expectations as WWE fans witnessed the return of two former WWE champions, Chris Jericho and The Miz.
Prior to the show, Triple H had hyped up the expectations of the WWE universe when he stated on Twitter that a former WWE champion will be returning to Monday night. With the news of Ric Flair and The Miz return revolving around, many people believed that it had to be one of those two.
And then there were some who were optimistic about seeing the impossible- a CM Punk return.
However, sadly that miracle wasn’t on the cards as The Miz did appear and made his way into the XL Center in front of the sold out crowd in Hartford, Connecticut. The self-proclaimed Awesome superstar announced that he is here to stay and he will be competing in order to headline Wrestlemania once again. It was already clear that the Miz’s promo projected him as a heel.
But his moment of awesomeness was cut short when the pyros exploded and ‘Break the Walls’ entrance theme hit the arena as Jericho came out to a huge pop. The former six-time World Champion made his way into the ring as the audience continued to cheer for him.
Jericho’s entrance however, did not amuse The Miz as he went on rambling about how he is a movie star and he shouldn’t have been interrupted. Jericho didn’t let him finish as he hit the code breaker on Miz midway while he rambled. Jericho picked up the mic and was about to address the WWE fans, but the Wyatts spoiled the party as they teamed up on him and took him out inside the ring.
All these returns do change the dimension of the company and we might see new storylines unfold as we move forward towards SummerSlam.
