WWE News: WWE claims that The Rock's in ring career is far from over
WWE recently posted a video on Youtube mentioning the four hottest free agents in WWE. Interestingly the list starts with none other than the former WWE Champion and Hollywood star The Rock himself.
The video mentions how the former Champion was chosen as the top draft pick for SmackDown brand during the 2002 edition of WWE Drafts and claimed that his in-ring career is far from being over. Below is the synopsis of the presentation thanks to allwrestlingnews.com:
"In the original brand extension draft in 2002, Mr. McMahon chose The Rock as the top pick for SmackDown. The most electrifying man in all of entertainment has created a Hall of Fame worthy resume but as he showed at WrestleMania 32 with a record-breaking win over Erick Rowan, his in-ring career is far from over.”
What's interesting to note here is that The Rock is rumored to be involved in a match with his fellow Hollywood Star Vin Diesel during the WrestleMania 33 event in Orlando next year.
These rumors originally started when The Great One posted a video from his Instagram account after completing the shooting of the latest film of the Fast and Furious franchise.
In the caption of the video posted by him, the Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment accused some of his male co-stars of being unprofessional during the shooting.
Later a magazine reported that the People's Champion was talking about none other than his Furious 8 co-star Vin Diesel , although it was said that the heat between the two actors was not real and it is all a part of a WWE Storyline.
This storyline involving both superstars will allegedly lead to a showdown between the two at the grandest stage of them all in order to promote their upcoming film releasing on 12th April, just 10 days later of WrestleMania 33.
The other 3 stars mentioned in the Video are Former Wyatt Family Member Luke Harper, Former NXT star Emma and The Phenom Undertaker.
Among these, both Emma and Harper are currently out of action due to various injuries. Luke Harper dislocated his Patella during a dark match back in March this year while Emma suffered a shoulder injury in May and both stars are expected to return on WWE TV soon.
However, The future of The Undertaker with the company remains suspicious as the former World Champion has allegedly told people that his match at WrestleMania 32 was his last adventure.
On the other hand, WWE officials still believe that they will be able to convince the Phenom to wrestle at WrestleMania 33 when the time comes around
