WWE Clash of Champions 2019: 5 stats every fan needs to know heading into the eventĀ
Clash of Champions 2019 takes over The Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday night and boasts the first pay-per-view of 2019 where every main roster WWE Championship will be on the line.
Now that Roman Reigns vs Erick Rowan has been made into a No Disqualification match, every match on the card is a gimmick match with 11 matches currently official for the show. Although, the King of the Ring finals have seemingly been moved to the following night on Monday Night RAW instead with no explanation given by the company.
Statistics in WWE are everything to many Superstars, which is why many of them will be looking forward to this weekend's show since history could be made and equaled in several matches on the night.
#5 Women's Tag Team Championships will be defended on pay-per-view for the first time since WrestleMania
The Women's Tag Team Championships were first introduced to WWE back at Elimination Chamber, which means that there isn't much history surrounding the first incarnation of Tag Team Championships for the women.
That being said, the titles were defended on the main show at WrestleMania, when they changed hands from The Boss 'n' Hug Connection to The IIconics. The belts were then not defended at Money in the Bank, Stomping Grounds or Extreme Rules but were then relegated to the kickoff show at SummerSlam where Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were able to successfully retain their Championships against The IIconics.
This weekend there is a chance that the women could be on the main show since Cross and Bliss once again defend their Championships but this time it's against SmackDown Live duo Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, who are also known as Fire and Desire.
