CM Punk talks about his religious beliefs, his hero and more in a live Q&A

CM Punk in WWE during better times

– CM was an acclaimed wrestler who entered WWE after earning his name in the independent circuit. Punk made it big in WWE holding the WWE Championship and Heavyweight Championship,

He also had many memorable feuds with the likes of John Cena, Rock, the Shield and the Undertaker to name a few. All of this came crashing down when he unceremoniously left the WWE after lashing out at the company.

Last Thanksgiving he recorded a destructive podcast with Colt Cabana. This year seems to be on a much calmer note. Punk was seen at a live Q&A session where he answered questions about his spiritual beliefs and who he considers as his hero.

On his religious beliefs

A fan was seen asking Punk about his religious beliefs and whether those beliefs affect his career and professional life.

CM Punk, who believes strongly in honesty, said that he is never concerned about his religious beliefs affecting his career. He also stated that he would rather lose a job than lie for one.

"We live in a world where Donald Trump is running for President, and that's f--king weird. I'm never concerned about my beliefs hurting me in any way. I'd rather lose a job than have to lie," Punk said in response to the question.

On his wrestling hero

The Q&A session happened at a showing of They Live, the Rowdy Roddy Piper Classic.

CM Punk, who in a way is brash and outspoken just like Roddy Piper said that he would selfishly make it to Jacksonville for the showing of that event. Punk says that he does not consider many people as heroes, but Roddy Piper is certainly an exception in that list.

"This was super cool for me to come and bulls--t about Rowdy Roddy Piper, because he's awesome. I don't have a lot of heroes, so to speak, and he's definitely one of them now," said Punk.
