WWE use CM Punk to promote movie; Stock prices go up
The french film, Queens of the Ring, being produced by WWE Films and Kare productions now has a release date. The movie, which was produced in 2012, features cameos from the Miz and now gone from WWE superstars, CM Punk and Eve Torres.
WWE magazine reports that it is scheduled for release on DVD and digital download on November 11. The magazine also features a poster of the movie with all the 3 stars advertised in bold print.
WWE.com says the film "centers around Rose, a mother looking to strengthen her bond with her estranged son who is WWE fan. Going the extra mile, the loving mother begins training to become a wrestling diva. The comedy/drama follows Rose as she finds a job in a supermarket and convinces her new cashier colleagues to join her in her journey to impress her son by becoming a Queen of the Ring.”
In other news, the WWE stock went down by 1.22% today and closed at $14.62 per share. The high for the day was $15.08 and the low was $14.50. The stock has shown an improvement of 2.26% in after-hours trading following the announcement of WWE’s new partnership with FOX Sports Latin America.
