WWE: CM Punk to serve as co-host at AP music awards in Ohio
CM Punk will be appearing on television on Monday Night but sadly that won’t be on WWE Raw if you were wondering. We should be glad at least that he is finally decided to come on TV since he walked away from the squared circle.
Punk will be co-hosting the Red Carpet pre-show segment of the AXS TV’s first ever Alternative Press music awards on July 21, 2014. The event will be held at the Rock And Roll all of Famer and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio.
Basically, we will be seeing him interviewing music artists with a live mic before they take their seats at the show. His co-host, Juliet Simmons, who previous contestant on the NBC singing competition/reality show The Voice and frontwoman for the band Automatic Loveletter, will accompany him during this pre-show segment.
This is what Punk had to say about his involvement.
"Well, I'm actually stoked to get out of the house and get gussied up for the first-ever Gibson Brands AP Music Awards, fueled by Monster Energy Drink," Punk said. "Red carpets and me don't mix, so I figure it'll be a perfectly hilarious night with friends and a live microphone—my favorite! Be there and be square!"
The AP awards will be broadcasted on Monday which means that it will be aired alongside against Raw. And by then, Punk’s contract will also expire.
Even though he proclaims himself as a retired pro-wrestler, he is still included in WWE.com’s official roster page.
Interesting latest developments indeed as Phil Brooks aka Punk is trying to establish himself in his other fields of interest.
