WWE: Watch out for the Rhode-block
Ever since Cody Rhodes was fired on Monday Night RAW, it has not only helped in validating the power of the Chief Operating Officer, Triple H, but also proved that whoever dares to question the decision of the COO is jeopardizing his career. The kind of impact that the villainous boss has made on the roster sure makes us all wonder when and how Daniel Bryan is ever going to get past the Corporation to win the gold and declare himself the face of the company.
With the current scenario that WWE has shaped itself into post the angle that took place at this year’s SummerSlam, several superstars can benefit from the situation and get the major push that they deserve. The Big Show, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz have already been established as the victims of the oppression by the evil boss. It won’t be long before the these superstars get tired of being mistreated week after week and stand up against the boss. As the focus is still on Daniel Bryan, these guys can take out Triple H’s henchmen and clear up the path for Daniel Bryan to get his hands on Randy Orton‘s gold.
But what happens to Cody Rhodes? Cody’s firing was just a storyline to write him off television for a brief time as the third-generation superstar is getting married. And the way things turned out for Cody, it is quite obvious that he will soon get involved in the feud. Right after he was fired, in the backstage interview with Josh Mathews, Cody pointed out that the McMahons were never really fond of Rhodes. Soon, Dusty Rhodes and even the bizzare one, Dustin Rhodes a.k.a. Goldust, took to social media and expressed their anger over the situation.
You mention Triple H and think your comment will go unnoticed? No! The evil boss has eyes on everything. Dustin’s rant sure caught his attention, in response to which the GM of RAW, Brad Maddox, announced a match between the Viper and Goldust next week. He also mentioned that if Goldust wins this one against Randy Orton and if Cody issues a public apology to the McMahons, he could keep his job.
Interesting. Soon enough, Cody and the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, will enter the fray.
The way the story unveils with Rhodes and the McMahons, one can expect the father-sons trio fighting for the respect that the McMahons never showed them over decades.
Also, Cody has been in the business for years and has all the skills to be in the world title picture. If anything, let us hope this storyline at least gets him over with the crowd and he gets the push he deserves.
