WWE Elimination Chamber 2014: Early match card predictions
WWE managed to get their buy rates up and running with an above average show at the Royal Rumble and they will now be faced with the challenge of keeping the momentum going with Elimination Chamber.
The last stop on the road to WrestleMania, Elimination chamber has high credibility even if it’s not among the top four pay-per-views. Though the bout in the steel structure will be the main attraction, the undercard matches also carries a lot of heat as they could be potential curtain raisers to the ones at WrestleMania.
And the best part of it all would be that Daniel Bryan fans won’t crucify the main event like Royal Rumble since the flying goat got his place in the Chamber. But the creative still would need to make things better as they are gearing for the biggest spectacle of the year.
So here is a look at how the Elimination Chamber match card would shape up.
Divas Championship: AJ Lee (c) vs. Naomi
Like all the other pay-per-views the only reason why this match takes place is to give AJ some PPV time because she clearly deserves it for standing out in a stale division.
On the way to become the longest reigning champion, AJ has defended the title to almost every name in the division and like all others Naomi is also not going to stand a chance. For starters, Naomi ain’t technically good like Natalya or AJ, so expect a short match that would protect her flaws.
AJ will retain the title no matter what, but the WWE should look beyond Elimination Chamber and provide her with some new competition.
Brock Lesnar segment
The chances of seeing Lesnar compete in a match are unlikely unless the WWE decides to give Big Show another chance. But the Beast is sure to make an impact at the pay-per-view by beating the hell out of someone weaker.
It wouldn’t end on a regular note however, as Undertaker could make his return to put an end to Lesnar causing chaos. This could set up the match between Lesnar and Taker at WrestleMania.
The return of Taker is imminent at the Elimination Chamber since a later introduction would give less time for the creative to build up a storyline.
