WWE Elimination Chamber 2019: 5 Possible heel and face turns that can happen at the PPV

Elimination Chamber could be a night full of surprises.
Elimination Chamber could be a night full of surprises.

It’s that time of the year again when WWE takes a bunch of superstars and locks them up inside a cage for the sake of our entertainment. You know that the popularity of a gimmick match is at its peak when the WWE names an entire PPV after it.

The very first Chamber match from Survivor Series 2002 is still the greatest encounter in the 17-year history of unflinching brutality that Elimination Chamber has had to offer. Shattering glass pods, death-defying leaps from the top of the pod, the cage slathered with the faces of the superstars and the overall unpredictability have made it one of the most engaging matches in pro wrestling history.

Owing to its rousing acceptance, Elimination Chamber replaced No Way Out as a designated PPV in 2010. It has been a regular feature ever since as we will be witnessing the 9th edition of the event this Sunday.

In addition to the predicted barbarism, the fans should also be prepared for some twists namely in the form of heel and face turns. This slider lists those superstars who could be shifting from the good side to the bad and vice versa.

#1 Heel Turn - Shane McMahon

Don't forget, McMahon is a World Cup winner!
Don't forget, McMahon is a World Cup winner!

Did you actually believe that the dreamy alliance of McMahon Jr. and The Miz was here to stay? It's as plain as the nose on your face that the inevitable split is bound to happen sooner rather than later to facilitate a WrestleMania 35 match between the two. And for that, someone has to snap.

The easy route would be to let Miz go back to his obnoxious persona but where's the fun in that? The time is right to push Shane O'Mac towards the dark side as his rosy babyface run has outrun its course.

The speculation about the WWE World Cup Winner (sigh!) turning heel has been circulating for over a year and it's time for the WWE to pull the trigger. The Miz deserves to be cheered after being jeered by the fans for the entirety of his career. Even if the turn doesn't take place at Elimination Chamber, the seeds for the split will surely be planted.
