WWE Extreme Rules: 5 things that shouldn't happen on the show
WWE Extreme Rules will go live this Sunday from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We have a stacked card for the event with ten matches announced so far and seven of them being championship matches.
The high profile contests at the event are the No Holds Barred tag team match between The Undertaker & Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre, and the winner-takes-all mixed tag team match between Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch vs. Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans. The show also includes other mid-card and women's division matches, and we can expect WWE to go extreme and live up to the name of the PPV.
With one of their Big 4 PPV’s SummerSlam coming up next month, WWE must ensure the success of Sunday’s PPV to build momentum towards the biggest party of the summer. That means they can not afford to make any mistakes at Extreme Rules, but sometimes human errors are unavoidable, and WWE could see themselves doing the following five things on the show.

#5 AJ Styles losing to Ricochet
AJ Styles will take on Ricochet for the United States Championship at Extreme Rules. With Styles doing all that he could do as a babyface including a 371-day run with the WWE Championship, WWE decided to turn him heel to keep him relevant as an on-screen character. The Phenomenal One was teasing to embrace the dark side ever since he got drafted to Raw on the Superstar Shakeup and it finally materialized on last week’s episode of Raw.
AJ Styles turned heel on Ricochet after failing to capture the United States Championship. He laid out a vicious attack on the champion along with Gallows & Anderson, reuniting The Club in the process.
The Phenomenal One can't afford a loss just two weeks after his heel turn. If WWE intends to use him & the Club as a legitimate heel faction on television, they need to put the title on Styles at Extreme Rules and have him in an extended feud with Ricochet.
