WWE fans claim refund for Night of Champions PPV
Night of Champions was a great PPV for for Daniel Bryan‘s fans. He won the WWE Championship after defeating Randy Orton in a controversial fast counted match. But next day on Monday Night RAW, Daniel Bryan was stripped of the WWE Championship because of that fast count. Some fans were not happy with this overturned result.
According to PWInsider, one fan called Cox Cable for a refund, and surprisingly, they returned the money. He was not the only one who called. Many of the WWE fans got a refund for the NoC PPV. Here is the PWInsider news -
An elite member wrote me to tell me that he called Cox Cable and asked for a refund due to the finish of the Night Of Champions PPV being overturned. He said that Cox eventually gave it to him and the representative told him that other people had asked for a refund for the same reason.
Cox is my cable company as well, so I called a representative and was told that indeed other people have already called and gotten refunds, feeling that by invalidating the finish of the show that they paid for, they deserved it. This could become a slippery slope for wrestling companies.
Is this really good ? Did the fans deserve the refund or can they even demand it ? Later on, WWE provided a statement to AA about this matter -
While certain fans may not have liked the continuing storyline following Night of Champions, we’re certain that the 3-hour pay-per-view event delivered all the entertainment and excitement expected from WWE.
That was really a sad news. It is all scripted and it doesn’t matter if someone likes it or not. One should enjoy it the way it is. They should not ask for a refund if they don’t like it.
