WWE: Fans deserve to see Wyatts and the Shield in one awesome match
It is true that the WWE is not doing great as far as the ratings are concerned. Not as great as they would want it to be. But for two weeks straight their entire three hour shows have had only few shining moments. So there is no doubt that the WWE needs to be consistent in order to keep the viewers interested.
Whatever the ratings are, the WWE has been successful in brewing one little possibility- a feud between the Shield and The Wyatt family. Will this happen sooner than later? The Shield competed in their first match at Tables, Ladders and Chairs last year. It was a masterpiece in itself. Will their first match anniversary be celebrated with a match against the Wyatts? That might just be too soon but I wish WWE proves me wrong.
Anyway, this kind of rivalry requires a grand build up. After all, all six superstars are relatively new to the WWE roster and each of them can be a force to be reckoned with individually. But a feud between these two is just too exciting to be shoved to the WWE inventory.
Just imagine if Bray Wyatt with all his mesmerizing weirdness and Dean Ambrose with all his psychotic deviousness, were engaged in a promo. Though that moment will be amplified exponentially if they were facing each other individually but it would still rather be a relevant moment in their present scenario as well.
It might as well be a heel versus heel feud as it is hard to imagine either team turning face. And in today’s WWE, it is far less awkward to have a heel versus heel match. Both teams are the best factions the WWE has right now. The Shield was the lone group at the top but now they have some serious competition. The Shield’s strength lies in the fact that they are awesome as a team and they work really, really well together. The Wyatt Family has a clear leader in Bray Wyatt but Harper and Rowan are fiercely loyal to their leader. Whereas The Shield quite frankly don’t have a clear leader, even though Ambrose seemed like one months ago and now Reigns seems to be in control. And in recent weeks, there was some tension that brewed between the Shield, though nothing relevant has been built around it.
A possibility that I find interesting for a feud between these two teams is this; Bray Wyatt is playing mind games with The Shield and hence there is tension galore within The Shield and they are on the verge of breaking up and The Wyatts seem to be in the lead to be the one and only dominant faction. But the Shield believe in themselves to fight one last match with the Wyatts after which they are all unclear what lies ahead as far as being a team goes. So the team with the best teamwork in the WWE faces the Wyatts with the fans in attendance very well anticipating this to be their very last match.
I expect this feud to have that kind of a build-up or something close to it. It should be built up as The Wyatts being the ultimate challenge to the Shield.
