WWE Fastlane 2015: Live coverage and results - February 22, 2015

Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan for the main-event spot at WM 31

Hello everyone and welcome to our live coverage of WWE Fastlane 2015. After the controversial Royal Rumble, WWE is banking on delivering in a big way with the inaugural edition of the Fastlane PPV, which replaces the WWE Elimination Chamber event, on the road to Wrestlemania. Fastlane comes to you tonight from The FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN.

The match-card looks solid and has all the titles on the line, except for the WWE World HW championship, and also has a high-profile no.1 contender bout featuring Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns. WCW legend Sting is set to make his first announced appearance while rumours are awake about the appearances of other big names. Stay tuned for updates as the show progresses!

9: 25 AM: Post match, Bryan told Roman he better kick Brock Lesnar’s butt and shook his hand.

9: 24 AM: Bryan went for another running knee, but Roman caught him with a spear to pick up the victory.

9:20 AM: Roman went for a spear but Bryan rolled him up for a nearfall. Bryan then hit the running knee but Roman kicked out at 2! Roman powered out of a Yes! lock and dropped Bryan on his head, as the crowd chanted “This is awesome!” 

9: 15 AM: More back and forth action, as Roman dropped Bryan with a powerbomb from the top rope. Bryan turned things around with a backdrop from the top rope, and came down with multiple suicide dives, but Roman caught him with a belly to belly throw on the outside!

9: 10 AM: Roman drilled Bryan with rights and hung up over the top rope, and dropped Bryan with a Samoan drop, and turned Bryan inside out with a clothesline for a nearfall. Roman then suplexed Bryan multiple times, but Bryan came back with a kick to Roman’s liver region, turning the tables in his favor.

9: 05 AM: Roman Reigns overpowered Daniel Bryan, and worked over Bryan’s neck. Bryan tried to turn things around and worked on Roman’s leg and hamstring.

Winner by TKO and still the WWE United States champion: Rusev

8:52 AM: Cena passed out as the referee had no other option but to stop the match.

8:50 AM: Cena decked Rusev with the AA, but Rusev kicked out! Cena went to the top rope, but Rusev caught him with a powerbomb and locked him in the Accolade. Cena tried to power out of it, but Lana distracted the referee, enabling Rusev to hit a low blow and locked Cena in the Accolade once again.

8:45 AM: Rusev and Cena traded shots, but Cena locked him in the STF! Rusev powered out of it and planted him with an Alabama Slam for a near fall. Cena locked Rusev in the STF once again, but Rusev managed to get to the bottom rope.

8:40 AM: Rusev drilled Cena with clotheslines in the corner and a DDT, but Cena fought his way back before Rusev planted him for yet another near fall.

8:35 AM: Rusev was firmly in control of the match, as he worked over Cena. Cena tried to turn things around, but Rusev stopped him with a rear naked choke.

8:30 AM: Rusev made his way out with Lana, followed by Cena. Cena took Rusev down, but Rusev turned things around with a spin kick.

8:24 AM: Bray claimed that he was afraid of The Undertaker before, but not now. He called out The Undertaker, and claimed he was a broken man. He then said he will put Taker down once and for all at WrestleMania.

8:20 AM: The druids came out as the all too familiar music played, and the fans erupted as the druids brought out a casket.

Winner due to DQ: BNB

8:15 AM: BNB tried to leave, but Ambrose came down with a suicide dive. Ambrose kept attacking BNB causing a DQ, but Ambrose kept kicking BNB and drilled him with Dirty Deeds, and took BNB’s title after the match.

8:10 AM: BNB continued working on Ambrose, and went for the Bull Hammer, but Dean turned things around with a huge clothesline.

8:06 AM: Ambrose started things off aggressively, but Barrett managed to turn things around with a big boot, sending Dean crashing outside.

Winner and still the WWE Divas champion: Nikki Bella

8:00 AM: Nikki rolled Paige up with a handful of tights to retain her title.

7:58 AM: Paige turned things around with a dropkick, and delivered a superkick for yet another nearfall. Nikki turned the tables and drilled Paige with a huge powerbomb for a nearfall.

7:55 AM: Paige went right for Nikki, as Nikki turned things around and drilled her with the Alabama Slam for a near fall.
