WWE should finally push their forgotten giant to face Roman Reigns in a major clash
Roman Reigns' world title run has been more dominant than anyone could have foreseen when he first returned as a heel in WWE. During that time, he has defeated every superstar he has faced. There has been no dearth of wins, with him even defeating Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens, among others, superstars that fans thought would beat The Tribal Chief.
However, there is one star he has beaten that has not challenged him again in a long time, and it might be time for him to face Reigns again.
Braun Strowman has been missing from the main event scene for a while. The last time he faced, Reigns was a championship match three years ago on SmackDown on October 16, 2020. The time before that was on August 30, when Reigns defeated The Fiend and Strowman to become the WWE Universal Champion.
Strowman would continue some major feuds after that for a while but then was released from WWE. When he returned under Triple H's regime, it was thought he would go back to the main event scene immediately.
Instead, after a few matches, he was paired with Ricochet and has been working in the tag team division since then. While the star has been doing a good job, a lot of fans have felt that he is missing out on bigger chances. Strowman might be the perfect person to face Reigns now and pose the biggest challenge to his title run, with The Bloodline already facing dissension.
Braun Strowman helped get WWE fans excited about Roman Reigns at a time when they were booing him every day
If there is one star who can push Roman Reigns to his limit, it's always been Braun Strowman. Back when Reigns was a face forced onto fans by WWE and was being pushed as such, he was being booed regularly. Despite the effort, none of his feuds were sitting right with the WWE Universe.
However, when Strowman arrived and attacked him with the "I am not done with you yet" catchphrase, fans were forced to sit up and pay attention. The brutal attacks, ambulances being flipped over, parts of the stage being pulled down, all of it made for a spectacular show.
Bringing all that back with another push for Braun Strowman might be what is best for business for WWE.
