Five WWE Women Superstars who overpowered men in the ring

Chyna was a trailblazer for women in WWE

Throughout WWE history, we have seen many times where women made an impact on the company. As a female growing up, I looked up to these amazing women throughout the years and I loved when they took matters into their own hands.

In a male dominated industry it’s a challenge for women to make an impression on the fans of WWE. It’s always a personal victory when women of the WWE succeed and are recognized.

I can’t write this article without mentioning those who came before the ladies I mention.

I remember when Sensational Sherri would take it upon herself many times to interfere in matches.  She was a great wrestler and a superior manager.

In the days where female managers played a huge role, women like her, Miss Elizabeth, Sunny, Sable, Trish Stratus and Lita to name a few have tried their hand at trying to secure a victory for the guys they managed.  For some, it transitioned into success in the ring.

We have seen beauties and bombshells, and we have seen tough women who just want to be taken seriously too.  While there have been many women who have come and gone there are some who will always stand the test of time.

Such as the ladies I previously mentioned.

It’s a wonderful thing that increasingly, women are getting noticed for more than their looks.  They are strong, powerful and exceptionally smart.  I can’t say enough good things about the women who made a real difference in WWE.

Especially because in the last 25 years, women have come leaps and bounds in terms of significance and influence in the squared circle.

In this article, we are looking at the times women have overpowered men in the ring. Usually, when these women had enough of the male superstars, they end up acting out and creating moments a lot of us don’t forget.

#5 Sable

Sable’s transformation was a highlight of the Attitude Era

Who could forget when Sable had enough of Marc Mero’s crap, and lashed out against him?

In a brilliant crossover, Sable transitioned from a bombshell manager to a bad ass fighter due to Mero’s jealousy of her.  She would participate in WrestleMania and SummerSlam in 1998 to battle her ex-husband, and would even Sable bomb him at one time!

It was one of the hottest feuds in 1998, and it helped Sable become a household name and the top female in WWE for quite some time.
