WWE: Flops from June 17th RAW

This week’s RAW was received very well by the fans and the critics alike. It did not come as a surprise though, as RAW featured a returning Christian and CM Punk, and the tease to Mark Henry’s retirement turned out to be a well planned sneak attack on John Cena. Henry and the WWE creative had all of us fooled, and Henry can be a good opponent to Cena after Ryback. Their match has been confirmed for WWE Money in the Bank PPV next month. However, there were a few instances which could’ve been done better, and in this article, I highlight those instances.

Wade Barrett still on a losing streak

When you’re building stars, and you put one of the most prestigious titles on a youngster’s shoulder, it doesn’t make sense to make him lose all of the TV matches. Wade Barrett was the WWE Intercontinental champion for quite a while, but this year, he lost almost all of his televised matches. Barrett dropped the title to Axel this Sunday at the Payback PPV, but his losing streak still continued, as he lost to ‘Captain Charisma’ who returned this past week. I’m a huge fan of Christian, and I want to see him on a roll, but WWE could’ve fed anyone else to Christian. As luck would have it, it turned out to be Wade Barrett.
