WWE Hall of Famer, controversial star, and more - 4 possible identities of 'Mr. Cleveland' referenced by Logan Paul on WWE SmackDown

Logan Paul and LA Knight will be locking horns for the former's United States Championship at WWE SummerSlam. The past few weeks of WWE SmackDown have seen both stars trying to get the better of each other but the latest episode saw the United States Champion walk away with the last laugh.

LA Knight went one-on-one with Santos Escobar on WWE SmackDown tonight. After Knight picked up the win, Logan Paul made his presence felt by blindsiding him and hitting him with the Frog Splash. Before heading out for the night, Paul let the WWE Universe know that a 'Mr. Cleveland' said that he would have a surprise in store for Paul's homecoming.

With that in mind, let's take a look at four possible names that may be Paul's 'Mr. Cleveland' at WWE SummerSlam.

#4. The Miz and Logan Paul could have a full-circle moment

The Miz and Logan Paul go way back. The two Cleveland natives teamed up at WrestleMania a couple of years ago to take on the Mysterios. The match marked The Maverick's WWE debut and saw him picking up his first victory in WWE.

However, after the match ended, The Miz turned on his partner, hitting him with the Skull Crushing Finale. The two WWE Superstars have not gone toe-to-toe since the betrayal, but it may be considered water under the bridge given how far Paul has come since then.

The A-Lister could be the one to introduce his fellow Cleveland hometown hero for his match against LA Knight while possibly celebrating how far his protege has come two years since his debut in WWE. After the match, irrespective of the result, the WWE Universe could see the United States Champion beat down The Miz to bring what happened two years ago a full circle.

The possibility of a match between Paul and The Miz down the line is something that the WWE Universe would love and setting that up in their hometown would get many fans invested in the feud.

#3. Jake Paul to be by Logan Paul's side?

Jake Paul and Logan Paul are always there for each other during their big-time matches. The WWE United States Champion is usually seen cheering his brother on during his boxing matches. However, Jake Paul is yet to be seen siding with his brother in the WWE, except the one time at Crown Jewel 2022.

Maybe SummerSlam in Cleveland will be the best time to cement that relationship in front of the WWE Universe. The younger Paul brother's appearance on WWE TV could mean a lot for Logan and would be the best way to have the two cross paths in front of fans, possibly teasing an alliance in the future for all wrestling fans.

While Jake Paul is yet to officially compete in the WWE, his athletic prowess is second to none. The two Paul brothers coming together and taking the tag team division by storm in the future could possibly be seen as best for business.

On the other hand, the two brothers have constantly been competing against each other. Jake Paul betraying and costing his elder brother the title to set up a feud with him later could get a lot of eyes on WWE if and when they plan to have the two stars clash in the squared circle.

#2. Machine Gun Kelly

Machine Gun Kelly is another big name from Cleveland. The rapper is well-versed in the world of WWE, having performed during a premium live event and even taken a bump a few years ago. The Cleveland music star is as controversial a face as Logan Paul and the two coming out together as proud hometown boys could garner a range of reactions from the live crowd.

As mentioned earlier, Machine Gun Kelly could be the special music act for the night and play Logan Paul in for his major title defense. If need be, MGK could get physical and eventually cost LA Knight the title, generating further heat for Paul.

#1. Drew Carey

Drew Carey is one Cleveland native who has had his fair share of appearances in WWE. One of his biggest nights came when he competed in the 2001 Royal Rumble and offered Kane money for his mask. The comedian also had his moment with The Big Red Monster's brother, The Undertaker, when he beat down Carey on an episode of WWE SmackDown.

Drew Carey is a WWE Hall of Famer and would be one of the biggest swerves that Logan Paul could pull for SummerSlam. The WWE Universe would not be expecting to see Carey in the WWE since his induction back in 2011. Having Carey walk out with him and demanding the fans to show him some respect would turn out to be a moment to remember and leave fans confused.

While there are many possibilities for 'Mr. Cleveland,' the man behind the name may play a crucial role in the United States Championship match at SummerSlam. Since Logan Paul is known to ensure that he gets his way, expect this name to try his best to keep the title around Logan's waist.
