Remaining WWE Hall of Fame 2016 inductees revealed

Undertaker, Regis Philbin and Paul Bearer

The upcoming 2016 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is set to see another individual immortalized in the wrestling world in the form of Charles Wright aka ‘The Godfather’, who had a notable reign with WWE.

Wright will be joined by other wrestlers and groups who have had an impact on WWE in the form of Sting, Jacqueline, The Freebirds and Regis Philbin – who will be inducted in the celebrity wing.

Wright originally joined WWE, then WWF in 1991, but gained fame for his character ‘The Godfather’, who was famous for bringing hoes in the ring, promising his opponents that they could have them if they threw away the match. Wright won the WWF Intercontinental Championship and the WWF Tag Team Championship as the character.

Sting, who becomes the second active wrestler to be inducted after the great Ric Flair, hasn’t won any major trophies besides two Slammy awards while with WWE, but is still considered as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time due to his technique.

Jacqueline Moore’s enviable career in WWE, which resulted in two Women’s Championships and one Cruiserweight Championship will be honoured this year, while the Freebirds will be honoured for the innovations they brought about into the WWE, including becoming the first group of wrestlers to use entrance theme music.
