In WWE, a Superstar's career can often live or die by how well they can cut a promo.

After all, there's no point being 6 6'' and 300lbs of pure muscle, if you lose all your credibility once a microphone is put in your hand.

Across the annals of WWE history, there have been countless promos, some good and some not so good.

There have even been those promos that blurred the lines of kayfabe, leaving fans questioning what was scripted and what was real tension between Superstars.

These promos have lived on with fans long after they were spoken, for a variety of reasons.

Here are five WWE promos that got very very real, and those who pulled the trigger on them.

#5 This is E-C-W!!!

The Rise and Fall of ECW documentary by WWE was a true hit.

Detailing the ins and outs of the extreme promotion over three years after its closure, the DVD got many fans excited once again about the company, and it wasn't long until a reunion show was announced.

Dubbed ECW One Night Stand, the show took place in 2005 and featured both classic matches, and heartfelt promos.

During the night, Paul Heyman would cut a teary-eyed promo, thanking everyone who had made it happen, from the guys in the locker-room to the fans.

Heyman even took a moment to get very real, addressing the WWE 'invaders', who threatened to ruin the show.

From calling out Edge for sleeping with Matt Hardy's girlfriend Lita to saying JBL was only WWE Champion because Triple H wasn't on SmackDown, Heyman wasn't pulling his punches.
