WWE History: Brock Lesnar gets emotional while mentioning deceased Hall of Famer
The backstory
Brock Lesnar came up to the main roster in the spring of 2002, and went on to have possibly the greatest rookie year of any Superstar in WWE history. Lesnar won the WWE Title at SummerSlam after defeating The Rock, won the Royal Rumble match in 2003, and pinned Kurt Angle to win his 2nd title at WrestleMania 19.
Fans might be aware of the infamous "Plane ride from hell", which saw Lesnar apparently putting down WWE Hall of Famer Curt Hennig, after the latter challenged him to a match inside the plane while it was thousands of feet above the ground.

Lesnar's emotional interview
An old interview from WWE Confidential has surfaced online, which shows Brock Lesnar getting emotional over Mr. Perfect's death. The Hall of Famer died in early 2003, months after he was fired due to his behavior during the plane journey.
If Lesnar's book is any indication, he had a lot of respect for Perfect, and had learned a bunch of valuable life lessons from the legendary wrestler. The interview shows a completely different side of Lesnar, as he almost breaks into tears while mentioning Hennig.
It was a lot of sides I saw of Curt that other people didn't because I got to be very close with him.You know, Curt had a very serious side, his love... (pauses). There wasn't a day that he didn't talk to me. He was talking about his kids and his wife, he carried the photos in his wallet. Any time I went out with Curt, whether it was Poker, whether it was throwing darts, whether it was pool, the guy couldn't lose.
The aftermath
Lesnar went on to become one of the most dominant and most protected champions in the history of the business, and is known for not being a fan of the limelight that comes with his job. It's refreshing to see Lesnar's softer side, as he never tends to show it on TV.
