The backstory

Before becoming one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time, John Cena paid his dues and worked hard towards achieving his goal of wrestling in the big leagues. Cena spent a considerable amount of time wrestling in WWE's developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), before he made his main roster debut in the spring of 2002.

The class of 2002 is regarded by many as the finest batch of wrestling talent WWE has ever bagged in one go. In addition to Cena, it included the likes of Brock Lesnar, Shelton Benjamin, Batista, and Randy Orton.

Way before he arrived in OVW, Cena honed his skills in wrestling schools and learned the craft of in-ring psychology and impressing the audience. Known as 'The Prototype' at the time, Cena looked as ready as ever to join the sharks in deep waters.

The aftermath

Cena is currently trying to make a name for himself in Hollywood, and recently made news by announcing that he would be a part of the hit franchise "The Fast & the Furious". Christopher Daniels is currently added to AEW roster, both as a WWE wrestlers and the Head of Talent Relations.

Samoa Joe floundered on WWE's main roster for years, and has just recently begun getting a proper push, winning the United States Title in the process and successfully defending it at WrestleMania 35 against Rey Mysterio, although he lost the title to Ricochet at the Stomping Grounds PPV.
