The backstory

It has been a while since Jon Moxley made his thunderous debut in All Elite Wrestling. The former Dean Ambrose had left WWE after the much-publicized "The Shield's Final Chapter". He went on to post an incredible promo on Twitter, which saw him escaping out of a prison and embracing the persona of the legendary Superstar of the indies, Jon Moxley.

Days later, another former WWE Superstar Hideo Itami made his shocking debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He later confirmed that he wants to compete in NJPW's prestigious tournament, G1 Climax.

The talk

Longtime fans must not have forgotten that Kenta was once employed by WWE as Hideo Itami. He wrestled on WWE NXT as well as 205 Live, and was released by the company earlier this year.

An incredibly rare clip from WrestleMania 31 shows Jon Moxley hanging out with Kenta in the middle of the stadium, with Moxley trying to give some advice to Kenta for the upcoming event.

Ready for WrestleMania? What's too big? It's just like a carnival. Wrestling in front of like 20 people is weird right? Wrestling in front of these many people? Not weird! It's like a blind, like faceless mass. You'll be good, you go out there. You don't have to worry about them, you have to worry about thirty dudes in the ring... lot more dudes in the ring. There's a lot of guys in the ring in a battle royal, that can hurt you. Don't worry about the crowd, worry about the guys in the ring.

The aftermath

More than 4 years from this moment, both of these Superstars are now possibly going to compete in NJPW's G1 tournament.
