WWE/Impact Wrestling News: Killer Kross confirms that WWE had interest in him after his debut
What's the story?
Killer Kross has been a player in Impact since debuting as the 'X Marks the Spot' backstage attacker last year.
Since his debut was so impactful, it got the attention of all the major wrestling promotions in the world, including WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Kross confirmed WWE's interest during an interview with Interactive Wrestling Radio on Wrestling Epicenter. Fightful.com carried transcripts of the interview.

In case you missed it . . .
Killer Kross is a huge man, similar to Drew McIntyre in size and his character is that of a man who predicts chaos and suffering through carefully crafted words and promos.
He first debuted by attacking several Impact employees before joining Austin Aries when Aries was the Impact Champion.
The talented grappler separated himself from Aries and has been tormenting Johnny Impact and his wife over the last few months.
He also appeared during Lucha Underground's fourth season as the sadistic leader of the Rabbit Tribe, the White Rabbit.
The heart of the matter
Sometimes, a wrestler's debut can either make or break that wrestler's chances of breaking through.
Kross was treated like a big deal and his debut not only affected the roster of Impact but also the wrestling world who immediately took notice of this new nihilistic character.
"That is absolutely true. Yes. (laughs) Everything happens for a reason. I don't say this in a negative way but I don't think people in WWE internally or the fan base would have had any idea how to receive this character if I had went there first with it.
Even though characters like Kross aren't throughout the WWE or other promotions, he felt he wanted to grow it on his own first since he wasn't sure how WWE would book him.
"That has a lot to do with their general platform and their presentation. I don't think they would have known how to implement this character. So, the fact that it is happening elsewhere... Maybe one day there will be a time and a place for this guy on that stage. But, this (Impact) is the perfect place to be doing this."
Bray Wyatt was similar in character in that they both preached about suffering and chaos, but Wyatt's booking hasn't matched his character's haunting promos.
What's next?
Personally, I enjoy Killer Kross' work and would love to see him on a bigger platform some day.
His sentiment about wanting 'to grow it in Impact first' makes sense given how a similar character in Wyatt has been traditionally been booked throughout his WWE tenure.
A big part of his run in Impact has been successful because he has had creative input into his character which is something that might not be offered as much in WWE.
Whatever happens, Killer Kross is a character that would work in any promotion if it was presented correctly. Since he's enjoying his time in Impact, he might not be interested in WWE at the time being.
